Directions to the Del Valle Visitor Center from Park District Headquarters, Oakland, CA
· Departing Park District Headquarters at 2950 Peralta Oaks Court, head north on Peralta Oaks Drive.
· Turn left on 106th Ave. then left onto MacArthur Blvd.
· Stay left on MacArthur Blvd; take the on ramp for I-580 East; continue on 1-580 East for approximately 22 miles.
· Take exit 52 for N. Livermore Ave; continue south for approximately 4 miles (N. Livermore Ave. becomes S. Livermore Ave. which then becomes Tesla Rd).
· Turn right on Mines Rd.; continue south for approximately 7 miles (Mines Rd. becomes Del Valle Rd.) to the park entrance kiosk on Del Valle Rd.
To reach the Visitor Center once inside Del Valle Regional Park:
· Pass the entrance kiosk and continue south on Del Valle Rd. as it crosses the bridge over Lake Del Valle.
· Turn right then take the first right into the West Swim Beach parking lot. The tour will assemble near the restroom facility.
Arrive at the Del Valle Visitor Center, 7000 Del Valle Road, Livermore, CA 10:00 a.m.
Staff will provide an overview of Del Valle Regional Park, the recent storm events, the flood impacts, as well as the significant cleanup and repair effort. Staff will discuss the Visitor Center exhibit removal and replacement process and the restroom replacement project.

Depart for Del Valle Marina, East Beach 11:00 a.m.
The tour will caravan through a portion of the campground for a drive-through view of the storm recovery process on the way to the East Beach.
To reach the East Beach from the Visitor Center and Campground:
· Head north on Del Valle Rd. toward the park entrance kiosk.
· Turn left just before the kiosk and continue to the boat launch, boat rental, and marina area.
Arrive at Del Valle Marina, East Beach, 7000 Del Valle Road, Livermore, CA 11:10 a.m.
The tour will gather at the marina for a different vantage point of the storm impacts and recovery. Staff will discuss the status of the boat launch area and concessions.

Depart for Camp Arroyo 12:00 p.m.
· Exit park and head north on Del Valle Rd. and continue for approximately 7 miles. (Del Valle Rd. becomes Mines Rd.)
· Turn left onto Tesla Rd. (which becomes S. Livermore Ave.) and continue for approximately 1 mile.
· Turn left onto Concannon Blvd. and continue for approximately 1.5 miles.
· Turn left onto Arroyo Rd. and continue south for approximately 3.5 miles; arrive at Camp Arroyo.
Arrive at Camp Arroyo, 5535 Arroyo Road, Livermore, CA 12:30 p.m.
Lunch will be provided for elected officials and staff in the Camp Arroyo Dining Hall.
Tour of Camp Arroyo 1:15 p.m.
Staff will present an overview of Camp Arroyo followed by a tour of one of the cabins, the amphitheater, the art yurt, and camp infirmary. At the swimming pool complex, staff will provide an update on the pool upgrade project. Representatives from the camp operator United Camps, Conferences, and Retreats (UCCR) and the Taylor Family Foundation will be present to discuss their respective roles and programs at Camp Arroyo.

· Turn right (south) on Arroyo Rd. and continue for approximately 400 feet; arrive at Arroyo Del Valle Staging Area.
Arrive at Arroyo Del Valle Staging Area, 5073 Arroyo Road, Livermore, CA 2:35 p.m.
The tour will conclude with a stop at the Arroyo Del Valle Staging Area to see the recently completed CXT vault restroom project and discuss the increased popularity of this staging area.
